About Me

A few things you need to know about me. I am soft hearted, funny but do not take me for granted. I am reserved and careful about my choice of words but I am not pretentious. I am honest and dedicated to my family, friends, passion and love but I am not boastful. My good friend said I am a bundle of joy to be with even with my Mongolian-look-alike face.

I worked for an Oil & Gas consulting company back in Malaysia as their Office Manager for a decade and in 2013, I have decided to take a break from everything. I embarked on a journey to find things that I look for in life and in the process, I have found myself.

I found that travel is not all about seeing places and meeting new faces. Travel, for me, is about being at a certain place and a certain time. Being at the right place and right time, you might catch the perfect sunset picture, you might miss a horrible traffic, you might meet people who click with you and have a blast. However, life is not all sunshine and rainbow. At times you would find yourself in undesirable situations. If you are able to make the most out of the bad situation and still walk out with a smile, you have experienced what Travel is all about.

I discovered that walking, exploring, hiking and trekking is a major part of my life. I love to see a city with my own two feet. I am not a runner but putting the music on and chasing after the wind in unfamiliar roads, excites me. I love cycling around if the city spread a little too big for my feet. I dislike touristic places and if you put me in a mountain, I would not moan about not showering for 10 days at all. In fact, I would kiss you. A big sloppy wet kiss. Nepal is by far my favourite place to be. I teased a friend of mine who is very competitive, about conquering the world summits and he gave me the idea of this. I am definitely aiming for Aconcagua and Kilimanjaro over the next year.

I have recently realised that I am quite creative. I enjoy making art, any kind of art. A birthday card from recycled materials, a present made out of nothing but thoughtful ideas, or a world map wall mural done in the English classroom of a vocational center that hosted me as a workawayer. The map you see above was my work of art. I have utterly enjoyed myself in the process and I am agog with what art opportunities my travel will bring me next.

Writing is without a tinge of doubt my favourite past time. I love to play with words. I enjoy seeing how words dance the melodic tunes with the flow of my thoughts. I sigh at how my words carry the stubborn stones and lifting weights off my heart. I cry at how my words put on a fantastic tear jerking show and I often laugh berserkly at silly little nothing, like right now, writing about myself.

It is hard for you to know about me in a short "about me" page. I would suggest you follow me on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Google Plus and find out more as I move ahead.
